An Ongoing Problem
Meet Roberto and Sarah! Roberto is a bright youth who has not been able to accomplish his dream of continuing his higher education in Business Management because his household resources are limited and he has struggled to secure a well-paid job.
In a similar situation, Sarah, as one of the many young women (twice the amount of young men) has also not been able to pursue higher education. Sarah has a great business idea she has started to pursue informally but lacks the resources and know-how to make it a reality.
Both Roberto and Sarah are just two examples of many young people that are facing unemployment. This situation often causes anxiety and desperation, leaving the ones facing them sometimes with a low self esteem. Every year, hundreds of young individuals graduate from Belize’s education system unable to pursue higher education or secure well-paid employment.
